Goodbye Web 2.0

The "Web 2.0 look" as it has been dubbed (it's not actually an aesthetic, but I digress) ruled the 2000's, so in 2010 and hopefully in the new decade, this will go away. It's OK to use shiny surfaces and reflections, but they should be used sparingly and only when they help the goals of the site. To give you an idea of how played out this is, there were so many button generators that even The Ajaxian was tired of them (years ago, I might add).
